Forging Excalibur

Rediscover Your Masculinity

My first book, written out of the counselling room in Melbourne, where most of the people I sat with were men. It is where this work first became public.

The book

A man can go after achievement and still stay whole.

Forging Excalibur

Rediscover Your Masculinity

The men who came into my room were caught between two pressures. One measured them by what they earned and achieved. The other told them their masculinity was the problem. Neither left much room for a man to know who he was underneath the role.

There is nothing wrong with money or achievement. The damage comes when success becomes the driving force of a life. Forging Excalibur is about how a man can strive for his goals and still stay healthy and whole, and what that changes in his relationships and in how he raises the next generation.

The record

One line of work, under three names.

The book came first, in 2019. The Forging Excalibur podcast followed and ran from 2020 to 2022, close to 150 episodes. The work has since carried on as The Architect, and in the books I now write under my own name.

The dated record of those years, the book, the podcast and the interviews, is kept at forgingexcalibur.com.
